Industrial Boiler Services (UK) Ltd were pleased to be appointed as the Principal Contractor for a large heating and HWS plant upgrade at HMP Send.
This involved updating the domestic hot water services generation and storage systems within A, B and C wings, as well as the heating and domestic hot water services for the main kitchen.
The works included a full design and build package, incorporating heat loss and load surveys, and a wider dilapidation review of the existing plant and systems.
Hydrogen-ready combination boilers provided by AIC, incorporating a 10-year warranty on the fully stainless-steel heat exchangers, were the only solution capable of for the demanding environments.
The completed article ensures that HMP Send is utilising highly efficient means of heating and hot water services, and preparation for air source heat pumps to be integrated later is available.
